Identity Inc. (Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, hereinafter referred to as "the Company") has announced that it has been notified that its subcontractor has been found guilty of fraudulent activities, including padding the number of times it received PCR and other tests in its application for subsidies for the project to provide free PCR and other tests, as announced on January 30 of this year.AQ LLCThe Company has decided to file a civil lawsuit against MIRAI and its related parties, as well as Kunihiro Shimada, the laboratory manager of MIRAI's free corona antigen laboratory, seeking compensation for damages.

In addition, on February 5, 2024, the Company returned the subsidies for the Aichi Prefecture project for free PCR and other tests.

Effective March 18, 2022, the Company had been offering free PCR and other testing services in Aichi Prefecture at seven locations.

During the following period, approximately 200 cases of fraud were confirmed at the Identity MIRAI free corona antigen laboratory, which is outsourced to AQ LLC, including padding of the number of examinations.

Due to the above-mentioned irregularities, the decision to subsidize the cost of free PCR testing in Aichi Prefecture has been cancelled, and we are filing a claim for damages.

The claim for such damages is only for the portion of the actual damage that is evident.

In the future, we will estimate the damage caused by the loss of trust in the company and demand additional compensation for the amount in question, and if the company does not make restitution, we have confirmed that we will also file criminal charges related to the illegal payments, although we need to confirm the facts.
