This series is about a "running cat" composed of three layers.

Inspired by the coat colors of a cat (black, white, and gray) with whom the artist Masama Koike once lived, each layer is replaced by black and white, and gray is replaced by transparent, resulting in a sophisticated abstract composition with a minimal color palette.

This limited color composition of the entire work, including the background, leads the eye to the essential elements of the work, such as form and texture, contrast of light and shadow, and depth of space.

The textures that clothe the cat have a smooth, honed texture and are characterized by a pronounced glass-like luster and transparency.

This materiality emphasizes a lightness and spatiality that transcends materiality.

The clipped running motion also evokes a sense of dynamic energy and agility, while at the same time depicting the cat's natural innocence and lovability.

The capture of this moment gives the entire work a poetic vibrancy.

Born in Aichi, Japan in 1995

Graduated from Musashino Art University, Department of Architecture, Faculty of Art and Design

CG creator who has been in charge of space design and production work using 3D technology and programming at "Sandwich.inc", a creative platform led by sculptor Kohei Nawa.

In parallel, he works for an architectural design firm, where he is involved in design work and the development of modeling creation tools.
